I had the enjoyment of knowing Mrs. Mitchell while I taught at East Elementary. I could see her pretty blue (yellow) house out my classroom windows. She worked in her yard often, and her flowers were beautiful.
All the 3rd grade teachers loved Mrs. Mitchell! We all thought of her as a friend. She was very helpful, kind, patient, and loving with our students. She always had a smile and made us smile, too. I had the privilege of going to the school Christmas party with Mrs. Mitchell and Joy Freemon for a few years. Afterwards, we would drive around and looked at Christmas lights. It was a lot of fun for me.
Mrs. Mitchell loved her family so much. We would often visit about them. She was so proud of them! I loved hearing stories about the sisters' vacations, and how they would visit their brother. What a close, close family with lots of wonderful memories!
I retired a few years ago and didn't see Mrs. Mitchell much after that. I had plans to go visit often, but I didn't. Definitely, my loss. Last year I saw where her home was for sale. I figured her kids finally talked her into moving closer!
You were blessed with a beautiful mother, sister, and grandmother. She is now with her husband and her son whom she missed dearly. God bless you all.

Gary, I trust that you will keep your spirit high and know that Mother is a happy camper as she is seeing the face of our Savior. Be blessed and I will pray that all those sweet memories will outshine the difficult memories. Keep looking up!!! God is with you.
