     Rodney Dale Davis 46, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma formally of Duncan, passed away Monday, April 10, 2017 at his home in Oklahoma City.

     Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 14, 2017 at Vimay Ridge Baptist Church east of Rush Springs, Oklahoma, with Rev. David Hale officiating, interment will follow at Marlow Cemetery, arrangements have been entrusted to the family care of Carter-Smart Funeral Directors.  

     Family visitation will be Thursday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Carter-Smart Funeral Home.

     Rodney was born January 20, 1971 in Chickasha, Oklahoma to William Kim & Linda (Abrams) Davis, he was a avid fan of the Oklahoma University Football team and the Oklahoma Thunder and was a member of Vimay Ridge Baptist Church.

     Rodney is survived by his mother & stepfather; Linda & Jim Chaffin of Rush Springs, Oklahoma, step-brothers; Jimmy Chaffin and Jody Patterson both of Rush Springs, Oklahoma, two step-sisters; Leah Owen of Healdton, Oklahoma and Robbie Cundiff of Duncan, Oklahoma, a special aunt Kay Price of Duncan, Oklahoma,  special aunts; Dorothy & Alice Humert and special  his dog Bitty.

     A special request from Rodney's family is for everyone attending the service if you have an O U Sooner Shirt to wear it for the service in memory of Rodney. 

     He was preceded in death by his father; William Kim Davis, special uncle; Thelbert Price, grandparents; Ruby & Chief Davis and D.C. & Neola Abrams, great grandparents; Roy & Rita Sweat, Mr. Mrs. Marvin Bowie.  

     Pallbearers will be Jeremie Patterson, Jody Patterson, Jimmy Chaffin, Curtis Hobbs, Randy Caveny and Steve Sweat.
