Millie was a very special woman. She was so supportive to my nursing students. And I will always be grateful for her kindness.

Dear Guy and Gregg,

My heart goes out to you and your many family members who are very sad at this time. A lovely lady has passed away and will be missed by everyone who's path she crossed.

I certainly enjoyed your mom and appreciated our friendship. It was very hard to move away from Duncan and mainly because of Millie. A bittersweet move to Colorado in which I haven't been able to return to OK for a visit.

Your mom and I visited on the phone and kept our "great talks" up. Millie was all ways interested and therefore she was interesting. We could keep the telephone wire hot for several long visits!

I missed being in Duncan for the celebration of Millie, and seeing her lovely family one more time. Because of all of you and the love you showered upon her, she thrived in her long life. That and her swimming, I would tell that is why you have done so well. She swam!!

I remember sitting at her kitchen table on a day I came by to visit and I was able to tell her that she would really never know how much she helped me by just being my friend. She reached out to me when Jack and I first landed in Duncan, through a Bridge game, and it raised me up. I wanted her to know after several years how her kindness created a space for me called survival!! I was a fish out of water in OK and after I met Milled everything was all right.

So I thank you for your lovely mother, I will hold her is my heart forever, and when I think of my time in Duncan it will always have her in my thought.

Stay well in your life.

Love, Joan Moores

To all the Goodners - Our family has so many fond memories of both Millie and Chuck. They were gracious hosts during our Oklahoma visits, making sure everything was just right and even baby sitting our toddlers, so long ago. We're sorry we're not able to attend Millie's service to meet her friends and share in the celebration of a life most joyously lived, but we'll see Guy and Linda soon and spend lots of time sharing Millie memories. Our thoughts are with you. Martha, Rich, Ben and Courtney Cockerell

I just wanted to express our sympathy at the passing of "Auntie Mil". We loved having her come visit our Grandma, Ola Darnall. We would all get together and she would play a mean game of cards! She would always be looking for the wild card and tapping the deck saying, "Jokie, Jokie, Jokie!" Our kids loved her too and I am sad that she was unable to get to meet her great-great-great nephew, Daniel. She was a very classy, special person that we all loved talking and visiting with. Sad to see the end of their generation in the family. Unfortunately, we will not be able to come to the funeral. I would like to send our condolences to Guy & Linda, Greg & Peg, and all of your families. She will definitely be missed but leaves us with some wonderful memories. God bless.
